Baku Boulevard

How it will look: each site gets its own colour scheme and structure.

In brief

The boulevard was laid out in 1909 on the windy shore of an oil city: soil was carted in, trees planted, paths traced. Over the years it became Baku's main public space.

Today it holds the canals of “Little Venice”, tea houses, museums and cycle paths — part of the Seaside National Park.
