The Baku Tram
From the 1889 horse tram to the rails lifted in 2004 — the story of a network that vanished.
Transport
A short mountain railway from the boulevard up to the Alley of Martyrs — the city's simplest lift since 1960.
The site is in progress. The domain is reserved; design and texts are under way.

The funicular links the lower city with the upper terrace: in a few minutes the car climbs the steep slope and the whole bay of Baku opens up.
The line opened in 1960 and has been renewed several times. The upper station sits beside the Alley of Martyrs and the Flame Towers.
